In English there are 2 presents.
Present simple : I wear wooly socks in the winter (because it's cold)
Present continuous : I'm wearing wooly socks today
Quand c'est quelque chose de toujours vrai et qui se répète on utilise le présent simple.
(ex: I wear)
Quand c'est quelque chose qui se passe devant nous et que c'est juste maintenant (today, right now...) on utilise le présent continue.
(ex: I'm wearing)
